Allett 27" C Range Sorrel Roller Cartridge Description

Using a Sorrel Roller on your pitches occasionally is essential to allow for aeration.

The 27" Sorrel Roller causes the least amount of disturbance to the soil feasible for aeration purposes by penetrating it with round holes rather than slots. Since it gives the soil a greater access point, it is recommended to do this before fertilising. The surface of the pitch will be punctured by the multi-tooth drum, releasing surface compaction, an essential step that makes it possible for air and nutrients to easily pass through and reach the root layer.

Sorrel rolling is beneficial for fine grass and sports fields, such as cricket pitches, bowling greens, and tennis courts, as it penetrates the soil more thoroughly. The pitch is kept in excellent condition by the little inbuilt roller, which smooths out any imperfections.

The sorrel roller quickly leaves hundreds of tiny holes on the turf. Air is needed by roots. Use the Sorrel roller on your playing surfaces frequently, especially in the high-wear and traffic areas, to enable aeration of the soil compacted by compaction. Because it gives a quicker route to the soil, it is advisable to do this before fertilising.
